Cubbon Park - A paradise admist chaotic city

Hello All,

Ever imagined giving your child an experience of a day outing in a paradise, far away from the honks and pollution of Bangalore.

A place where a child experiences and indulges in the world of his own in the heart of the city, amidst nature and a place of utmost peace, calmness and tranquility.

Im sure most of you can guess what im talking about, the age old Cubbon Park.

The totaled covered area of Cubbon Park is 300 acres; it’s a historical place in the heart of Bangalore which houses many of Bangalore’s impressive and aesthetically designed buildings.

To name a few, The High Court of Karnataka, Central Library, famous Visvesvaraya Science Museum and many more…

The landscaping of the park is so creatively designed that it features a combination of well laid out tracks, benches, naturally grown bamboo trees, rocks, water bodies and not to miss the flowerbeds.

No wonder CUBBON PARK gives Bangalore the Garden City tag.

Indeed Cubbon park gives a breathing lung space for the city, laden with full of greenery around. Its an ideal recycler for pollution and dust that have taken over the city in recent times due to endless construction of metro and the growing polulation of cars and 2 wheelers.

Coming back to the play arena for kids and tiny tots. The park offers a variety of choices to keep your child’s mind involved.
Whether it’s the Chug Chug train or the small Tora Tora to the motor boat ride, the kid is surely bound to enjoy every bit of his time.
For the genx kids, there is a skating ring where you can rent skates, safety gears assisted by professionalls to help budding skaters.

Not to forget there are some small shops which offer Cotton Candy, Popcorn, ice creams and some basic south indian dishes.
Elders too can enjoy the greenery around and go for a nice walk around the park.

Ever thought of writing a story, composing a song or playing a music instrument.
Cubbon park’s the place, there’s a small open amphitheatre as well, which is not being used much. The amphitheater is an ideal place for small evening gatherings for Musicians, Painters and other social activities.
Wanna celebrate your kids birthday, Cubbon park’s the place, there’s a small private closed arena with slides, swings and a sit out exclusively for birthday parties.
There’s a new science and traffic park coming up as well shortly.
All in all , Cubbon park is a gateway to paradise for your kids and you end up spending not more than a meal’s worth (max 500 Rs) for such a loving experience with your child.
I know it’s not a water park nor a theme park , but one things for sure the kid would feel like being in bangalore’s own disneyland.
I still remember one of my friend from UK, he said that “The British surely missed the queen’s palace when they were in bangalore, they couldn’t replicate the Buckingham, however they replicated the gardens with flower beds, walkways, sown seeds of trees long grown enough to give a shade to a tired traveller . Cubbon park almost resembles the replica of a garden in front of Buckingham palace”
The kids surely need such a kind of outing to connect with nature, learn with other kids, get exposed to being self reliant and more than anything else the bonding with a parent.
Im sure the joy, the smile and the feeling of contentment on your child’s face is something Priceless and you want to see more of them again and again.
There’s nothing better than an outing at Cubbon park for your kid to connect and establish an everlasting bond with nature and the lovely Bangalore City.
Im sure your kid would have fond memories for years to come and pass on the experiences to future generations. Wow!!!! what a way to keep your roots/connection with the city intact, isnt it???
High time bangaloreans accept the fact that Cubbon Park is indeed a paradise, the lung of bangalore's greenery and take all efforts to ensure we keep this natural wonder intact for our future generations.
